Good Friday Thoughts
My prayer is that everyone takes a moment to realize the significance of today. As we get busy and plan for family gatherings, Easter meals, and dressing in our Sunday best, we should know that none of it would be possible were it not for Good Friday. The ugliness and beaten body took the abuse for you and for me. Who does that? A selfless person full of love so that we may have the chance at eternal life. It’s probably very easy in our circle of friends to think of those who make sacrifices for us. But this is a sacrifice that compares to no other…the ultimate sacrifice. My hope is that you prayerfully and earnestly recollect on that sacrifice as you go through today. Prepare your heart. Rejoice that Sunday is coming! But…it hasn’t happened yet.
