Get ready Memphis! Well…get ready world! I’m SO EXCITED to share photos from my session with IDSC, MaryEllen, and Katie Kalsi last week!! During a conversation I had with Diane Grover with International Down Syndrome Coalition, I said, “Wouldn’t it be great if we had photos with Mary Ellen with the MaryEllen handbag that KATIE KALSI designed for the International Down Syndrome Coalition?” She LOVED the idea. We scheduled a shoot, and I learned the day of that Katie Kalsi would drop in for some photos. SO FUN! The day we met for photos last week was FREEZING. Seriously. We had to go to my car a few times to warm up because I don’t think it was warmer than 30 degrees. When Katie showed up, she was beyond sweet, and I was blown away that she took time out of her extremely busy day to take photos with us. She is one kindhearted person in addition to all of her crazy talent that she has been given.
So for all my fashion friends…please help me support Katie Kalsi and the International Down Syndrome Coalition! Katie Kalsi designed the new handbag MaryEllen to help raise awareness and support for Down Syndrome. (The handbag MaryEllen was named after Diane’s daughter Mary Ellen, who has Down’s Syndrome. Isn’t that just awesome?) As a result, she is donating 25% of the proceeds from the sales of the MaryEllen handbag and “Who I Am” strap to the International Down Syndrome Coalition. How generous is that???
