Little Red Riding Hood Bridal Styled Shoot
Today I take you back to a VERY COLD and *slightly* snowy day in January. My talented and creative friend and I had been planning a Red Riding Hood themed bridal shoot for some time. We had visions of this taking place in the snow. The challenge? Snow in Memphis is such a rare occurrence. One is more likely to win the lottery than to have more than an inch of snow happen in Memphis. But, the great thing about being creatives is that we are dreamers. So, we prepare, hope, and plan for a perfect snow day. And, in Memphis–you get what you get, which for us, was MAYBE an inch of snow.
Now, mind you, all of this has to be coordinated with other creatives. We do not live on an island, nor do we live close by in the 901. So, that means driving on icy roads, which people in the south (not these creatives, mind you), often have no experience in doing.
I had already picked up the amazingly beautiful wedding gown from Tess over at Couture by Tess.
The other biggest challenge was just the mind-numbing COLD. It was 22 degrees, not including the windchill factor. So, while the creatives could dress as warmly as we could, our model, McKinley, just had the wedding gown on. Now, it does have layers of fabric, but it doesn’t do much to combat 22 degrees of crazy cold. So, a big shout-out to McKinley. She almost passed out at one point because of the cold.
I’m so glad that WEDDINGLOVELY published this shoot a few days ago. Creatives get excited and want to immediately share and post things right away, but we often have to wait until publishers post first before we can share. Now the wait is over. Head on over here to see the images they chose for their feature. Wedding Lovely Published Shoot
