Memphis Children’s Photographer at Oaklawn Gardens

Sometimes I wish you (the person reading this) could be a fly on the wall at photo sessions. I often wonder what readers think typical photo sessions are like. Well, first of all, there is no typical photo shoot. They are as different as the people I photograph. These guys have been with me for years now–ever since their twins were newborns. It’s always a treat to see them, and it’s always a treat to see L’s mom, who normally comes at every photo shoot.

Well, L has several sweet kiddos, but for this shoot, she brought S and E (we were only photographing S). E was enjoying nature. She is the only girl in a slew of boys. Somehow she managed to find her way into an ant pile while we were photographing S. S sat there so calmly in the midst of the storm. Sometimes I wish there was video with the photos. Ah…the beauty of the portraits sometimes is the memory behind what makes the photo so perfect. See if you can pick out which photo S is sitting so calmly while complete and utter chaos is surrounding him!

I can’t wait to see this family again when their new addition arrives 🙂
