Memphis Tri-State Elite Basketball

Several weeks ago, someone from my Sunday School class at church asked if I’d be willing to help out the Memphis Tri-State Elite Basketball team with photos for a website. Basically, the site was designed for the group of inner city girls to help receive basketball scholarships. In addition, the team travels and plays in several tournaments each season. I just didn’t know how I could say “NO” to this project. It hit close to home I must admit. Looking back at my own high school days, I can vividly remember the time others spent helping me to receive all the scholarships that may be available just so I could attend college. To say we were poor is putting it mildly! I was the only child in my family to graduate high school, and I was the only member of my immediate family to attend and graduate college. I really couldn’t say “YES” fast enough.

So, long story short, I met up with Keith and Kim Grant at Germantown Baptist Church for these photos! I was so glad I could help these guys out, and I hope the photos for the site help these ladies receive the scholarships they need to go to college. I hope you’ll join me in praying for The Grants and the other leaders of this initiative as they lead this mission God has placed on their hearts!
