Hi, everyone! The blog is getting a break this week, so I thought I would share some of my thoughts until I update my blog again in a few days.
I hope you don’t mind if I open up my heart to you for just a little bit. This past week has been a very humbling one for me. I want you to know that I am sometimes at a loss for words when clients drive an hour and a half to have a session with me. Sometimes I shake my head in thankfulness when brides book me a year in advance or pay for me to travel to their destination wedding. I have clients who text me while they are in the delivery room because they want to make sure they get on the calendar for newborn portraits. I have clients who entrust me to referrals for their dearest and most special friends. I am overjoyed at clients who come see me time and time again for updated photos anytime during the year or for the birth of their second (or third) child. I am thankful for those clients who trust me to capture the uniqueness of their child who is graduating from high school. I am grateful for clients who schedule a sitting to capture portraits for family they haven’t seen years. I want everyone to know that my photography career is not something that I take for granted! Not only does it help provide for my family (thank you!), but I feel so blessed to do something that I just love. I am truly, truly thankful to meet so many wonderfully sweet people! You are treasures to me, your stories captivate me, your family touches me, and I want to thank you for sharing your moments in time with me to capture through my lens. Thank you Lord Jesus for watching over me through all the years of my life, for I know all the blessings come from You.
Blessings and Peace,
Thought for the day:
