Memphis Engagement Photography {Jake + Elize}

Looking for some Memphis Engagement Photography? Look no further! You’ll love this post of Jake and Elize! They have quite a love story! Jake contacted me to set up engagement photos. We had a very LIMITED window of opportunity. The two were moving from the Memphis area to SINGAPORE. Some important things had to happen along the way. First, engagement photos in Memphis since this is the place where the two of them met. Neither of them are from this area. Next, a wedding in IOWA. Third, a move to SINGAPORE!

Jake and Elize met while playing sports here in Memphis. Elize works for Target in marketing, and Jake works for one of the local medical device companies here in Memphis. Jake asked Elize out, and guess where their first date was? Pearl’s Oyster House in Memphis. We knew we wanted some of their photos to be at the restaurant as a result!

We started their session off at one of the downtown streets to capture the trolley feel:

Then we walked to Beale Street just for a quick photo.

Next….a walk to Pearl’s Oyster House! Originally, the couple thought they were just going to have photos made outside the restaurant, but I convinced them that we needed to go inside to the very table where the first date happened 🙂

Then we scouted out some locations around Pearl’s. We decided to hang out by the railroad tracks for a few fun photos:

We walked down the street and found this GORGEOUS magnolia tree, so I made them stop and take some photos here. I mean…you can’t get any more southern than a magnolia tree 🙂

Finally, we wrapped up their engagement session back at Elize’s place…The Madison in downtown Memphis. Some of you may have seen/heard about the vault the building has in its basement? Perfect place for photos!

Thanks for the opportunity to take your downtown Memphis engagement photos, guys! I hope you had a beautiful wedding in Iowa and are having a grand adventure in Singapore!!

Blessings and Peace,
Cindy
